Why start an anime blog?
Two reasons really. The first is that several friends asked me to. They wanted to know what kind of crazy anime was out there that they had never heard of.
Reason two is that many anime fans tend to watch things that are new, popular, and well-made. I try to specialize in the older, more obscure, and often terrible.
Where do you get your obscure anime? Where can I get the titles you review?
I frequently look through secondhand shops for anime I've never heard of. Alternately, I'll check the trailers section on some of my other odd DVD's to get ideas of what to look for. I'll occasionally order thing from independent sellers online.
That being said, many of the titles I'll review on this site can be found on NetFlix. If you read about a title that interests you, plug it into your NetFlix queue.
If you can just rent most of these titles, why buy them?
I'm a collector. I take pride in my collection. Also, to keep the economy running I guess.
How can you watch so much anime?
I watch an episode of a
TV series with breakfast, two with dinner, and two to four episodes
while exercising everyday. In addition to this I watch fansubs or
streaming shows in the evening. That is a typical weekday, weekends I
watch my movies and OVA's.
